[lbo-talk] Desktop Publishing for people who don't know what they are doing

I am going to eventually need a desktop publishing program. My
preference user friendly over productive but still powerful. Something
lets you do everything through menus, and that has a certain amount
of handholding, but is still powerful enough to let you do most of
what DTP can do. Ideally someone who knows what they are doing will
curse at the number of steps certain things take but can still get
them done and unlike packages that emphasize productivity over user
friendliness the person who does not know what they are doing can also
get them done. In short, today's equivalent for Aldous Pagemaker.
