Of course, men have to fear other men as well. The national murder rate of women by men (1.26 per 100,000 in 2009) is a fraction of the overall homicide rate of 5.4 per 100,000. But, this is in no small part because men are better placed to respond to violent threats in kind. 

Still, I do think it's easy to look down upon the suffering of men who live in fear of other men, whether, for example, that's because they live in high-crime areas or are in abusive relationships with other men.
