Jesse Ventura: Letter to the Ruling Class

You control our world. You’ve poisoned the air we breathe, contaminated the water we drink, and copyrighted the food we eat. We fight in your wars, die for your causes, and sacrifice our freedoms to protect you. You’ve liquidated our savings, destroyed our middle class, and used our tax dollars to bailout your unending greed. We are slaves to your corporations, zombies to your airwaves, servants to your decadence. You’ve stolen our elections, assassinated our leaders, and abolished our basic rights as human beings. You own our property, shipped away our jobs, and shredded our unions. You’ve profited off of disaster, destabilized our currencies, and raised our cost of living. You’ve monopolized our freedom, stripped away our education, and have almost extinguished our flame. We are hit… we are bleeding… but we ain’t got time to bleed. We will bring the giants to their knees and you will witness our revolution!

Which is what my personal political views closely identify as. Not saying Ventura is, I don't know enough about him other than a few public interviews and such. But I would make a guess to suggest that his view isn't party affiliated. If memory serves, he considers himself as an Independent in terms of party. (not American Independent). I don't see hypocrisy.

.....

Yes there is........

And I'm pretty close to that. Very socialist on general welfare issues and very libertarian on personal freedom issues.

The problem with the libertarians is they have no "Blue Dogs"

There are conservative dems and a FEW liberal republicans, but every libertarian candidate is 100% libertarian.

If a libertarian candidate would ever be for max individual liberty while preserving the social safety net they would give the major parties a run for their money.

,,,,,,,,,,

exactly

Socialist Libertarian's believe in the concept of shared ownership of the public commons, i.e. schools, roads & transportation Community Hospitals (remember those? public safety.

But stay the hell out of my bedroom, my computer, my bank account, my body, my mind, my garden.

Public Commons ought not be privatized. We did with Health Care, and so called State Universities where the tuitions make enrollment inaccessable except for the wealthy unless you are willing to go into debt for the rest of your life paying off loans with outrageous interest charges. and on and on..
