Yeah, Chomsky's a libertarian socialist, a term roughly equivalent with
'anarchist' or 'council communist Marxist'. Actually, the term 'libertarian'
was always understood to mean a type of socialist. Only since the 1970's in
America has the term been appropriated by the right.
