of course, it took the IT industry ages to standarize on CUA (Common User Access) menus (IBM-Apple-Microsoft colaboration, later embraced by Linux as well).

But now everyone thinks menus "must go" so we get Microsoft´s "ribbon" UI and all that crap.

At least with CUA I knew that app menus were always [F]ile [E]dit [V]iew... and the like ending with [H]elp now it´s "figure it on your own"

All because all these new programming kids don´t even know what CUA was all about, or if they knew, they think it´s "old" and that they know better.
