[lbo-talk] Getting into Harvard, 1869

Some commentator at zerohedge was going on about how much harder it used to be to get into Harvard in 1869, and posted the entrance exam.

I looked at it. Basically, you had to know some Latin and Greek, less math than most applicants know today, and some geography. 

Big fucking deal. I mean anyone who was going to go to Harvard learned the necessary amount of Latin and Greek. So, I have no idea why this represents a higher bar ....
