Speaking of handwriting and the brain. Two anecdotes ...if you will.

1. When giving translation assignments in classics, they would have us copy the passage to translate in longhand. Amazingly enough, just doing this made the translation much easier to do.

2. When solving math problems, students are much more likely to get the right answer when they copy out the problem and solve it for themselves, than when they have to select one answer in a multiple choice test.

Just sayin....
