It does not upset me. Anyone who is serious about _needed_ change in the U.S. has to stop worrying about what the DP & RP do and think in terms of building working-class resistance to an attack that has been going on, with increasing intensity, since the mid-70s. And as Marx says in the last chapter of Wages, Price and Profit, capitalists will reduce wages endlessly unless working-class resistance stops the attack.
As long as there is no poular resistance, conditions will worsen under each successive administration (of either party). I see no reason at all to be surprised or concerned about current government policy.
