And don't forget the importance of word of mouth in human communities! I don't have to be cheated by you directly; your reputation can precede you. If I've been cheated by you, you better believe all my family and circle of friends know it too. Richard Dawkins, for all his dickishness, makes this point in his writings on the subject.
