I had the same thought. I guess the virtue of the piece is that it provides a good overall summary of the main challenges/opportunities facing Obama and how he squandered his chance. I found it interesting that the author is a professional psychologist and consultant for the Democrats. Although he says he's not trying to diagnose at a distance, he kind of does. It's also interesting what he says about where regular people are regarding the issues.

Of course, the personal side is not all there is to things. But, as of late, I've been thinking a bit about it. On that subject, this interview of Chávez, by José Vicente Rangel, is really great -- unfortunately for the regular members of these lists, it's in Spanish (scroll down for the video clips):
