The opportunity to cross-examine the cop telling such absurd lies in court would be more than I could resist. I'm getting excited just thinking about it. ;-)

Yeah, I guess. But in so doing you technically concede the cop is right and you are in the wrong. At the very least a citizen should bear the responsibility for keeping the authorities in check by going to court and telling the truth. All that is required for evil to prevail... etc.

Aside from the fact that it would be fun... Its your civic duty. ;-)
