Deomocracy Now had an interview with Sarah Posner here:

http://www.democracynow.org/2011/8/15/bachmanns_iowa_straw_poll_win_signals

Posner explains Bachmann's legal background from her law degree at Oral Roberts Unvi. They teach that God, Goverment, and Church each play an assigned role to the rule of a values based society. God sets the rules, the church and goverment carry out these programs based on these religious values.

It is a hierarchical system with God on top, Church, and then Goverment. Indeed it is in effect a religious tyranny. Strauss created a similar system, by substituting a council of wise men, philosopher-intellectual for God's position. This is very similar in design to Plato's Republic, matched with Aristotlian ethnics in the place of `values' The difference is that Bachmann's form removes a rational system of ethics for the clearly irrational Christian system.

In fact this is very much like Iran's Islamic Republic. Consider Allah sits above all, then the high mullahs form the council of elders who in turn manage the secular elected government.

I didn't know that Oral Roberts had a law school, but wow is that scary.
