I'm glad one reader caught on. Morgan's book is, in a way, more bout the '70s, 80s,&90s than the '60s. He is illumiating on the'60s, even for one who was "there." But his focus was onthe response of the mass media to those events, and the total distortion of the'60s that resulted. He then traces what he clls the corporate backlash against "too much democracy" (a phrase actually used by liberals and consrvatives against the '60s). Part of that backlash was "spontaneous," but a larger part of it thanI myself evere realized was systematic. Morgan traces that and documents it. Anyone who wants to know how we got to where we are ought to be interested in what that consultant has tosay.
