[WS:] One party system is the obsession of bourgeois, especially American, political science, but it really does not mean much for democracy. I would go as far as saying that a one party system in Tanzania under Julius Nyerere (the key architect of African socialism) was probably more open to representation of minority interests than the grossly overrated US nominally two-party system and its electoral circus.
