CB; Yes, though the Tea Partiers who now rule Michigan state
government are going for broke against unions , the working class ,
"middle" class and poor.  There are forty anti-labor bills in the
state legislature, according to the AFL-CIO. The CMU administration
seems to be in close connection with the social fascist Tea Partiers.
 There has been a long term, like 15 years, focused attack on
Secondary and elementary school teachers; this is something  of an
extension of that.

Michigan Legislature caps health insurance spending, puts new time

11,000 to lose assistance

The state's new 48-month limit on welfare, and tighter enforcement of
the federal 60-month limit, is expected to result in more than 11,000
recipients losing benefits Oct. 1, the start of the fiscal year.
Advocates for poor people called the move, projected to save $60
million in the fiscal year, heartless.
