To be clear, my off-list to you was not intended to take shots at list members. I have made the same points on-list before. The reason was sending it off-list was to avoid getting myself obsessively involved in yet another thread (given I already have 10+ messages I need to respond to ranging from Gorbachev, racism to the DSK affair).
