It doesn't look like anyone has posted this here yet:

--Yesterday a judge lifted the temporary restraining order against the city of Boston against evicting #OccupyBoston from Dewey Square. Find the decision here: http://www.occupyboston.org/wp-content/uploads/memorandumanddecision.pdf. (Go to occupyboston.org if this link doesn't work.) It's got some weird bits, including an argument that "occupying" means "seizing" the land; something about it being a hostile gesture vs. actually communicating the message people claim to be communicating, and the evidence for this (get this) is the violent police response across the country. Anyway, it's worth a read.

--Today (like an hour ago) Mayor Menino gave a midnight deadline for people to leave Dewey Square. Info about that here: http://www.boston.com/Boston/metrodesk/2011/12/menino-gives-occupy-boston-protesters-midnight-deadline-threatens-further-action/22LNO3yr2zZLLpWWvPZlSK/index.html(go to boston.com if this link doesn't work).

Anyhow, emergency GA at 7pm, plus discussions at 1pm about what to remove from the site, whether to strike down tents, etc. People seem inclined to engage in direct action to defend the site, though it seems clear that it won't make it through the night.
