Showcase/benefit for WBAI
Saturday afternoon, December 17th, 2011 from 2-5 pm
at Lafayette Grill and Bar, 54 Franklin Street in downtown Manhattan (between Lafayette St. and Broadway, a few blocks south of Canal St.)
This month featuring WOOL & GRANT, a new musical duo made up of two veteran singer/songwriters Bev Grant, well known as the leader of the political rock band "Human Condition," and Ina May Wool, who John Platt from WFUV calls "One of my favorite New York singer/songwriters;"
AND,
Jazz and R&B guitarist extraordinaire Ahmad Ali, host of Stony Brook radio's Cafe Ali, and occasional late night co-host on WBAI.
There also will be a surprise speaker on issues of Ecology and radical political movements.
Entrance is only $5.
Come early! Excellent Mediterranean food and drink will be available. Also, free hors d'oeuvres (hummous, baba ganouj, olives, etc.) for early-birds.
Remember, Revolution is as American as Occu-pie.
