and the City of London has an interesting history with Peasant Revolts http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Death_of_Wat_Tyler_Froissart.jpg http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wat_Tyler#The_Peasants.27_Revolt

"Wat Tyler decided to ride out alone and parley with the King. What was said between Wat Tyler and the King is largely conjecture and little is known of the exact details of the encounter; however, by all accounts the unarmed Tyler was suddenly attacked without warning and killed by the Lord Mayor of London, Sir William Walworth<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Walworth>

and John Cavendish <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Cavendish>, a member of the king's group. This unprovoked betrayal of the truce flag and Tyler's killing threw the people into a panic. Not being organized as a military force, they broke and began to flee for their lives."

I read in Treasure Islands there is a large mural inside the City of London's HQ of this incident.

and today/// Occupy London's anger over police 'terrorism' document

A notice sent out to businesses in the City of London has listed the protest movement among groups such as al-Qaida and Farc http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2011/dec/05/occupy-london-police-terrorism-document
