I stopped reading the Hitchens post when I got to his making that suggestion. I couldn't tell whether he was imputing it to Chomsky as well. I know that Chomsky didn't.

"The Chorus and Cassandra" always seemed to me the best example of the 'good Hitchens' - before his Heideggerian 'turn.'

Does Hitchens in fact evaluate the US invasion of Vietnam on the basis of the nature of Vietnam after liberation?

Chomsky surely wouldn't/didn't. I'll re-read Hitchens' article. --CGE
