Securitization is not the only financial innovation of the last few decades. The commodity index funds and derivative markets are just two examples of innovation + policy changes that are tending to inflate bubbles (although I wonder if using the term bubble is correct. All of capitalism seems to be a bubble loosely defined. And the term bubble implies some sort of added non-reality when in fact it is all sort of relative/subjective).
