I fail to see what is bourgeois about the right to organize unions, assemble peacefully, express public opinions, or citizenship based on laws rather than the whims of thuggish autocrats. Those demands are socialist through and through.

^^^^ CB: Except for the right to organize unions,  aren't those bourgeois democratic republican demands from the period when the bourgeois were still a partially revolutionary class ? Thus, freedom of assembly, rule of law are part of the US Constitution from the American bourgeois revolution. To even have a written constitution as the fundamental law is rule of law not men , at least theoretically. And of course the bourgeoisie introduced constitutions.

"The bourgeoisie, historically, has played a most revolutionary part. "
