All statements about "_the_ left" are false, absolutely false, because "the left" does not exist. Probably there are a few million individual leftists, and there are quite a few local or state groups involved in one sort or another of left activity, but The Left is a non-entity. To make statements about "The left" is either really stupid or at best careless and empty of thought.
