I disagree. If all we get to be is apes on airplanes, I'm not interested.

If technological improvement is done on the assumption of inifinte resources, I'm not interested.

If the issue of alienation is not addressed, I'm not interested.

Somebody: It's always interesting to me how socialists out of power these days concern themselves with limits on natural resources and pursuing zero growth economies, but socialists in power know that the only guarantee of their system is to pursue growth as relentlessly as any capitalist regime.

At any rate, I have a hard time knowing if you're serious here. Are you suggesting you'd rather live in some idealized direct democracy led by Spartacus and former slaves in Ancient Rome than a capitalist dictatorship like China today? I find that hard to believe. The main difference is technology; at least Marx gave credit to the bourgeoisie for that.
