I suppose I'm jumping into this one a bit late, but this strikes me as a bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy. I just attended a conference in Chicago with 1300 other enthusiastic and driven intellectuals and activist who are hell-bent on the future going otherwise. I'll place my lot with those folks, and if I'm wrong... Well, then I'm wrong.
