It is not the the issue of comparing the actual standing of political
parties on welfare state, but rather perceptions of which party does
the most to protect it. By virtue of their rabid anti-globalization
and promotional of national interests most right wing parties in EU
attract people in low socio-economic status who feel that their
economic interests are threatened by globalization.
