This of course is false. The Army, which owns most of Egypt and has always determined fundamental Egyptian policy (often at the behest of the U.S.) tossed them a bone and nothing changed. It remains to be seen if the embryonic poular movement in Egypt returns to the struggle. Of course, its most important results were what it triggered in Italy, England, and Wisconsin, just as the most important results of Wisconsin are what it has triggered elsewhere.
