Fletcher Barager in his paper, "Joan Robinson on Marx," Review of Political Economy 15(4), October 2003 (gesd.free.fr/baragar.pdf), asserts that she began reading Marx seriously in the 1930s, and that work from the 1940s on was seriously influenced by Marx. Also, Barager contends that Robinson saw Sraffa as providing an elucidation of Marx, not a critique.
