Maybe, maybe not. Remember the Nazis thrived on the fact that there were militant left wingers that scared a bunch of the population - and they hijacked their socialist rhetoric. Nothing like that now, really.

^^^^^ CB: The US seems to be going through a sort of evolution, as opposed to sudden change, to "civil fascism", that is the rule and dominance of the most reactionary sectors of finance capital , but without the open terrorist rule of Nazism and the other European fascisms of the 1930's. We are headed in the direction of neutering unions but through elections, not open and illegal state terror.
