>From Lou Proyect's blog. Alex is at his Hitchian right wing battiest
here. He's saying the Tea Party has more progressive ideas than Lou.
But even though he couldn't be more wrong, his (completely unfair) insult
is so funny you almost forget:
<quote>
Who says these days that in the last analysis, the only way to change the status quo and challenge the Money Power of Wall St is to overthrow the government by force? That isn't some old Trotskyist lag like Louis Proyect, dozing on the dungheap of history like Odysseus' lice-ridden old hound Argos, woofing with alarm as the shadow of a new idea darkens the threshold.
<end quote>
Some day I'll write an essay on how, in itself, and contra the Enlightenment, being smarter doesn't make people any righter -- that attached to wrong instincts, it just allows you to be more stubbornly wrong.
Alex will be the example of a guy who writes so well, and especially mocks so well, he can make anything he desires to believe enjoyable.
