someone posted at work to complain about the ACLU fighting drug tests for welfare recipients. "If we have to take drug test to make a paycheck, then they have to take drug tests in order to get FREE money which i PAY for with MY taxes." blah blah.

Long story short, it came up that the military requires drug tests. What's the reasoning behind this. I can see why private employers can get away with it, but how does the military get away with violating constitutional rights with piss tests. What's the legal reasoning?
