And, similarly, when Pope expressed the modern societies for a vast "spiritual desert"--leaving aside what he specifically meant by "spiritual", the general context is given a good expression to.
If the Pope says earth moves round the sun, it doesn't become false merely because it comes out from the mouth of the Pope.
Reality, we have to understand is in flux. "Something is and is not, simultaneously" : Dialectics of Nature, Frederick Engels.
And reality has sub-categories. The realities, mind-sets, psychology, actions, powers, subjection, moralities, etc., are different for different species and sub-species. A rat's world-view is altogether different from the world view of any cat. We have lions seeing the world and expressing it (through their actions) through their lives, panthers doing the same in their own way... And different human classes--monopoly capitalists to remote tribal or clans' people--having their own sets of the pictures and dispositions about world and human life.
The dominant has the final say, however. The dominant CURRENTLY dictates: THERE IS NO ALLAH BUT BOURGEOISE JUGGLING CALLED "DEMOCRACY", JUSTIFICATION OF SAVAGRY CALLED "HUMAN RIGHTS" & HOODWINKING AND SUPPRESSION OF KNOWLEDGE NAMED "FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION"...
And WHAT WE ARE FACE TO FACE NOW IS THE IMPENDING PROSPECT OF THE EXTINCTION OF HUMAN SPECIES DUE TO A NUMBER OF REASONS (EXTINCTION WITHIN ANOTHER FIFTY TO HUNDRED YEARS ISN'T A BAD ESTIMATE). Parameters for the sustenance of human life are readily available.
AND ON THIS WE HAVE TO TAKE SIDES. EITHER ACCEPT CAPITALISM AND FACE EXTINCTION OR OVERTHROW CAPITALISM FOR THE CONTINUANCE OF THE HUMAN SPECIES.
There perhaps is no other option.
