[lbo-talk] Politics vs the DP

Can someone explain a bit more how exactly this process works, i.e. 
whereby the DP "bleeds" movements of followers and leaders? It's not 
that I don't believe it, I'd just like to understand exactly what we're 
talking about. Do people stop going to demonstrations? Why?

I seem to recall that in the late 60's there were vast and growing 
movements against a liberal Democratic president. I would assume most of 
the participants also voted for Democrats. What's the problem exactly?
