"Fault"? This is the wrong way to look at it. It was a huge *success* of the DP, which mobilized a bunch of people against the other guy for prosecuting a war and then turned them around and mobilized them for the Demo guy who was prosecuting the same war.

"Fault" is an utterly irrelevant category here. Let us not moralize, as a couple of other contributors have astutely suggested.

What an extraordinary thing to say. The DP is a highly ideological organization. It's intensely Zionist, interventionist, anti-communist, militarist, and police-mad, among many other things.
