Don't moralize. All that you claim can be supported and explained without the moralistic rhetoric of "sell out." It may feel good, but it doesn't get us any where. They are supporters of capitalism and capital. "Collateral damage" is not merely a war phenomenon: it is the heart of their (quite simnceere I'm afraid) self-justification. Remember Jimmy Carter's "The World is not fair." This policy is necessary to avoid chaos and much more pain. I know it's hard not to proceed into sarcasm: "I weep for you the walrus said..."

What an extraordinary thing to say. The DP is a highly ideological organization. It's intensely Zionist, interventionist, anti-communist, militarist, and police-mad, among many other things. Michael Smith

What is there to say? Stay focused people. Stay on the facts, Stay on the actual and concrete. It will save you. That's the only thing that will.

``Selling out their base is what they do. They are quite convinced that no amount of selling out will drive the base away, and they've been proven right over and over. '' (MS)

It's worse. The Demos are a flak suck like phenomenon. They are there to suck dry any `progressive' aspiration of the mass and if that is not possible to divide it off as unrealistic.

Don't even get into this argument. You just have to get used to looking at Demo politicians including Barbara Lee I am very sorry to say as your enemy. She should be the most radical of all the US Congress. I am glad she is there, but I do not for a second think at this point she will fight the fight. Is she holding news conferences and denouncing Obama and Duncan? No. Is she hammering away at her black wealthy base in the Oakland hills? No. I might love her, but I know her limitations.
