Sure, sure, why not? If Cornel West were just one more eccentric in costume at a demo or something, one would regard him quite benignly.
But Left Forum -- or any other such gathering -- only has so many up-front spots available. It doesn't inspire confidence when they put somebody so silly and useless into one.
