[WS:] This conversation, not the first one of this kind I may add, goes more or less like this:

Alan: Hey what are you talking about, mister chicken little fed on the functionalist fodder? You seem to forget that there are powerful atmospheric forces out there, as environmentalists, climatologists and global warming scientists told us. The jet streams triggered by industrial air pollution bring the masses of cold Arctic air that collide with the masses of warm and humid tropical air, creating violent storm systems that produce high winds and freezing rain in the entire macro-region. This inescapable logic of natural laws affects the entire social fabric, everyone, whether they like it or not. And all that _you_ can talk about is a slippery road?
