Joanna: It's hard to get news about Yemen. Al Jazeera's coverage is relatively restrained:

Somebody: Al Jazeera has reverted to being a mouthpiece for Qatar's government. Because the Gulf Cooperation Council supports the the suppression of the revolts in Bahrain and Yemen, the network deliberately gives less sympathetic coverage to them. Meanwhile, it provides extensive coverage of the rebellions in Libya and Syria. The transformation of the news outlet is quite extraordinary. In a matter of weeks it has become what it was always accused of being: a tool of propaganda of the Qatari monarchy. Not surprisingly, it has also suddenly won approval from Washington, after having been treated as a military target for the past decade. Now we can say definitively that is in fact a Gulf equivalent of the BBC.
