The standard for judging these types of regime changes is not whether or not the new leaders are puppets as compared to some hypothetical ideal Quisling. The standard should simply be: are they more compliant with U.S. foreign policy and economic interest than the governments they replaced?

In a wide array of states that have undergone U.S.-led regime change, such as Afghanistan, Iraq, Serbia, and Haiti, this has indeed been the case. I strongly suspect it will be with Libya as well, as is already evidenced by the selection of interim Prime Minister.
