here's a much longer video that includes the lead up to the WF action with a very large contingent of black bloc'rs clearly looking for some action. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zz22OvY6FTY
>From an account online, the events that happened involved a
specifically *anti-capitalist* march. it was separate from other
aspects of the general strike. this person writing, below, was
surprised to find 1-2000 people there. they took their place at the
head of the march, the rest of the people followed in behind them. You
can see how the banners say "death to capitalism" etc etc., all very
threatening and menacing. The contingent of black bloc'rs looks fairly
large. Certainly not the handfull or a dozen that people seem to have
a suggested. BTW, I was also listening to a taping of the GA just
after the strike. In it, someone makes a proposal that specifically
says violence and non-violence and there's a large contingent that
cheered and whooped it u in response to the inclusion of violent
tactics.
Anyway, they went after WF. You can tell, in this video, that there are plenty of people cheering in support of the action and then ther eis a contingent trying to stop them. One good thing about the video is that it addresses the complexity and the racialization involved, something they did address when the GA passed the resolution on "diversity of tactics."
here's the account from an anarchist.
