I'm amazed, in reading around, to see proliferation of "vampire squid." Here's the money shot:

"The first thing you need to know about Goldman Sachs is that it's everywhere. The world's most powerful investment bank is a great vampire squid wrapped around the face of humanity, relentlessly jamming its blood funnel into anything that smells like money"

From: http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/news/the-great-american-bubble-machine-20100405#ixzz1dHBE7wbZ

It was a brilliant formulation, and boy, did it stick. Journalists don't even mention Goldman by name any more; they just use "vampire squid" or "squid" for short. The equation has indelibly sunk into common consciousness; no proper name is needed. The image is perfect: the vampire that will never, ever let go. Not just a vampire, a slimy vampire.

No PR will dispel that.
