If you get spam on this list -- or really, any well-managed high-volume list -- it's probably because someone who is legitimately on this list has had their email hacked. They aren't responsible for the spam, and the list managers are well aware of it. It will be fixed; in fact it may have already been fixed by the time you wake up and dig into the backlog of postings. Under no circumstances should you *resend the spam* to everyone on the list, just to complain about it. No one on the list wants to hear your complaint, and no one wants to see the spam a second time.

Spam exists. Your best bet is to ignore it. Pretend it's from someone who you regularly don't read postings from, and simply delete it.
