Occupy Wall St.
Today, Elders from the Civil Right's Movement will be sharing the
torch of social justice and equality with the Occupy movement, a
symbolic act by which they recognize OWS as the transformative
movement of the 21st Century.
Schedule of Events:
--3:30pm: Interfaith Service lead by the Elder Council at Liberty
Square. They'll symbolically pass the torch of hope and social justice
to OWS.
--5:30pm: Conversation between the Elder Council members and OWS at
Judson Memorial Church. Open to the general public - discussing space,
liberation, and race.
--7:00-7:30pm: Gathering at Washington Square Park for a candle light
vigil march to Duarte Park. There will be donuts, coffee and other
actions ;)
