As a lot of you know, American rightwingers have a fetish for all things Israeli. Not just Christian Zionists, but US Jews, too.
They can live ten thousand miles away, but for them, the whole world is a settlement. It's a very curious ideological mix, and it's also incredibly distressing. Especially if you are Jewish, and on the left side of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Ex-B'tselem US chief, and former Jewish Voice for Peace policy director Mitchell Plitnick knows this problem better than anyone else.
