I worked for Apple from 1989 to 1998.

It really was a company manned by workers who cared a great deal about quality and the user experience. A slef-selected demographic if you will. And it had an executive staff who quickly learned how to milk that for all it was worth in terms of profit, including burning out workers.

The fact that aesthetics had some meaning (and does still) is a good thing; but mostly it's a company like any other; great marketing, lots of suicides.

Open Standards and competition, are the contrary of everything your dear Steve Jobs stood for, secretive designs, patents, lawsuits, and no competition. -------
