Nice idea in theory, but not necessarily in practice.  How is the cop
supposed to know that when I put my hand into my pocket when he
(hopefully) reads me my Miranda rights, I do so to reach for my Droid
rather than, say, a gun?  From that point on, he has a "probable
cause" to believe that I am resisting arrest and zap me with a taser
or whatever they are using in such situations.  So instead of spending
a few hours in jail and then being released (been there done that) - I
am being zapped or worse and charged with resisting arrest. Hmmm....
