One issue here is that companies have realized that money means nothing if you look at individual shares. Which is exactly what analysts and shareholders look at. 1 share of BAC is worth $6.19 as of the close on Friday. There are 10.13B shares outstanding. $11M is $0.0010858 per share. Yeah, 1/10'th of a penny.
This is why no one notices when they buy a $50M Gulfstream: that's a half a penny.
They say: revenue per share is about $7, I can't spend half a penny on an airplane?
Your man brings home $700 this week; you got a problem with him spending $0.50 on chewing gum?
