I saw this the other night and thought it was a pretty good treatment of 
an important and timely subject.  Here's a synopsis from the web site:

   "The After Party" is a documentary feature film about a

   journalist who is caught in a mass arrest while filming

   a protest at Ground Zero. His film crew's videotape of

   the incident leads to a civil rights lawsuit, uncovers

   a police spying ring and launches his personal investigation

   in to the weird world of domestic surveillance.  With

   special appearances by Andre '3000' Benjamin, Barack Obama,

   The Bush Twins, Cornel West, Al Sharpton and Don King.

The protest that resulted in 1800 arrests was during the 2004 RNC 
Convention in NYC that brought what some lbo-talk participants reported 
as 500,000 people to the streets.
