I think the point was that their brutal domination has managed to spark a nearly global mass reaction and many outright revolts that have profoundingly threatening implications. If big capital and money are not worried they should sure should be.

They depend on government to protect them and most of the US state and federal systems are near paralysis. For example, the local ILWU has enough clout to stop west coast ports which means trade with asian ports stops. If the Carpenters join, that stops and delays commercial construction, which soon skyrockets the costs. These will have direct effects on commercial banking.

Government depends on capital to enforce social order through the paycheck and or lack there of. But OWS and others have already experienced that discipline. If you still have a credit card, you borrow until you can't make the minimum payment and then default.
