This is ridiculously petty, Doug. I can't fathom why you even feel obligated to respond to a post like this from Carrol. You routinely grant yourself pretty broad leeway for snarky nastiness, so why not just ignore something like this? Far nastier and less substantively engageable things are posted to LBO-talk almost daily.

As a point of clarification, is there any reference for the "ground rules" of LBO-talk? I respect the fact that you've taken it upon yourself to set up and moderate the list, but since you presumably didn't personally invent and produce the hosting infrastructure, do "we" at least get to "consense" a bit around standards of conduct, expectations, etc.? Has anything ever been written up and circulated for comment / endorsement? Apologies in advance if I've missed something along these lines.
